AJL is here again with it's 27th edition. This year's theme is Gabungan Seni dan Musik or is it Ekspresi Seni. The website state Gabungan Seni dan Musik, the host said Ekpresi Seni. As promised by the production team behind the ere w('anugerah berprestij') show, the theme will allow lots of creativity in the artists' performances as well as the grahic display to be used thru out the night. We'll see..hmm
Opening - Mek Sah kuar nyanyi Bunga-Bunga Cinta juara tahun 2003. The graphics had already started with Mek Sah standing in front what appears to be a haunted house from a cartoon/animated film. And I suppose the reason why she is wearing white, is so that they could flash more 'graphics' on her.. started
with obor-obor motif.. then when the chorus kicks in.. yes you guest it.. daun-daun berguguran.. cumanya.. kat Malaysia ni takde mapple leave.. tapi daun yang gugur tu daun mapple leave. Macam mana tu? Ok lah di maapkan sebab mana pulak nak cari motif daun jambu ke.. daun pisang ye tak?
Next, Ziana Zain. Yeay. But then, she's in a 80s MTV music video singing a song that I don't know. I would have forgiven her if she sang anyone of her classic :(
Ziana was followed by Faizal Tahir with Anti Gravity.. hence a space ship projected behind him, complete with some dude floating in space. It could be him, but at this point I don't give a rat's ass. It looks errmmm amatuerish? And then I lift my head and take a look again at Faizal Tahir. Perhaps he's staying in Bandar Sri Permaisuri that do not have water for the pass 8 days.. muka macam tak mandi.
Opps... that concluded the opening. What just happened? I'm not at all pumped up? Here comes the host... they introduced the songs.. with some I dunno.. let's call it 3D effect? That.. was quite entertaining. The ombak.. the pelangi.. the bintang... but they could do with lesser stuff in the background.
Perhaps just the two of them, white background and the effect.
Let's move on to the performances.
1. Ombak Rindu - Adira & Hafiz

How was it? - I didn't watch Ombak Rindu, neither a fan of Aaron Aziz. So Whatever monolugue he was rambling left me bemused.But the fans seems to love it.The stage lit up with Adira hidden somewhere in the middle of ... I want to say a coral reef? But then after there's more light... and the smoke clears up, rupanya dia duduk celah2 bunga. Hafiz pulak diri atas kotak kot? Let's not even discuss what was The songs is nice.. I thot both of them did well..all is not lost... but wait... here comes Haron again. On stage. To carry away Adira. Kenapa Hafiz tak boleh angkat?
2. Patah Seribu - Shila Amzah

Penulis Lirik : Shila Amza
How was it? - Ada monologue jugak. It's not necessary. Somehow, I might have mistunderstood this.... but macam dia kata bila nak mati nanti ada orang akan call? Erk... I don't really like her baju. But whatever. I thot her voice is brilliant. Though her concentration might have been messed up with the monologue. The music arrangement... maybe the original sounds better. Ohh.. masih ada asap2 atas stage. Ni lebih yang performance tadi ke? I thot the backdrop looks good though. Good choice of graphic.
3. Simetri - Hazama & Amy Search
Komposer : Audi Mok
Penulis Lirik : Firdaus
How was it? - I'm not a fan of this song at all. I think there are better songs out there. Kuar asap lagi. OK.. ni macam metal tapi rambut macam rasta? OK, let's stick with the song and the performance. Ermmm.. still not a fan. OOwwwwwwwwowww.. Eh wait.. is that Edrie Hashim with the fab looking hair on guitar?
That hair is definitely *swoon* factor. Lama pulak lagu ni.. I need nourishment STAT!
4. Idola - Azlan & The Typewriter

How was it? I thot the voice and the music were superb. Best Vocal so far. So I take that this is Phantom of the Opera theme. Azlan and the band tu smart la jugak. Yang backup singer macam mime tu ada sket ganguan perasaan sebab ada certain tu aku tengok macam Amish pun ada. Hahahaha.
5.Pelangi Senja - Stacy

How was it? - Errmmm... Ok, I love the song. I love the video clip. I love Stacy. But let's be honest, the performance were a bit here and there. I like the idea of them bringing the kayu bakau pier on the stage. Macam video clip la kan. Aku ganguan perasaan dengan dancer yang nak bawak train of materials kat baju Stacy tu. I think it's disturbing her... then the music were too loud. And the backup singer sounds odd. I think the hair and dress for stacy is wrong. Arghhh whyyyyy.... but I have to say this. I admire her determination... she wants it bad. All the best Stacy. I lobes u no matter what.
6.Lagu - Bedroom Sanctuary

How was it? - Ok la. I appreciate the simplicity of the performance and the singer sticking to originality. Sempoi. And the gimik pun boleh la di maapkan. Entertaining.. but maybe not going to win anything. Walau apa pun, good job bro!
7. Tanpamu - Amir Jahari

How was it? - I read somewhere that the 'entourage' for this performance will be the biggest and kecoh in this AJL. Hmm... yang menepuk ni aku rasa mcm salah key. Yang lain tu ok la. I think he should just go with the 'stompers'.... dah kecoh sangat aku tak dengar dia nyanyi. And kenapa dia aje yang kaler-kaler muka. Apa ke maknanya? If aku tutup mata, the music arrangement is quiet good actually.
8. Teman Pengganti - Black & Malique (RJ)

How was it? - Ok openingnya... aku sudah terpukau...Pastu Black appeared from the turning platform. Nice... Then the wrapper who looks like a representative from MIC appeared and rapping out. Ok lagi... then things turns into circle. Hahahah I think the timing for the platform is a bit off. So bila part Rap,orangnya ngadap belakang. Bila part nyanyi orangnya kat belakang. Aku gelak gila. Nevertheless the song and the performance is good. I think the song should win something.
9. Terukir Di Bintang - Yuna (Aizat)

Penulis Lirik : Yuna
How was it? - Hahahahhaha I lobes this one. I'm not really a fan of Yuna nor Aizat. But I thot Aizat did a great job. Misai dia tu betul ke tak? Macam misai gatai.. but it suits the character i suppose. The expression on his face is priceless. Hahahahah.. as if to say.. "aku ni nyanyi lagu orang je". Hahahah. The performance was sweet. I vote this one wins best performance!
10. Ku Akui - Hafiz

Penulis Lirik : Ajai
How was it? - Honestly aku tak pernah dengar lagu ni. But overall, I thot the performance was good. Hafiz's voice was superb. And the music accompanying him was brilliant and not over the top. Erkk.. maybe this could win something as well? Best Vocal at least.
11. Andai Ku Bercinta Lagi - Mojo

How was it? - What can I say about a sudden resurgance of the French Revolution on the stage? Lagu ok la.. suara pun boleh la.. tapi costume dari kain langsir tu and Ms Marsha yg dah mcm bride/ Mary Antoinette... aku mcm blur batak kejap. Oh ada Edry tadi. Tak perasan.
12. Anak Kampung Jimmy Palikat & One Nation Emcee

How was it? - Sekampung bah, naik pentas. Takde kuda aje. I lobes the kebaya worn by Mimi at the begining. Aku memang suka lagu ni. I think the lyric to this song is honest and sincere. Whatever happens, kudos to Jimmy Palikat and One Nation Emcee. Though there's a lot of people on stage, everything works well. I would suggest to the tourism board to use this performance to promo Visit Malaysia Year 2014!

Whitney Houston - 1963 - 2012
Whitney had a slew of hit records. I dunno why, but when the news of her death was out yesterday, the first song that I wanted to listen to was from her My Love is Your Love album. Perhaps this album was out when I was at college and I had lots of time to listen to it. Anyhoo, I thot this is one of the coolest song of that came out late 90/ early 2000 when everyone's writing was all about girl power and angst against their ex, boyfriend etc. The first verse always had me in stiches. If you had the time, do check the video clip in youtube for this song. . It was the new Whitney then. Very uber badass I must say. Don't look up the remix/club version though, yucks.

AJL 26 - 2012
Opening
Act 1 - Ahvang Jamal with Alleycat's Senandung Semalam. Terpempan akak. Terpempan uols. Leather pants is totally forgiven. Guruh petir tu ada sedikit kureng. Tapi sebab suara dia best again all is forgiven. Kenapa la aku tak dapat ticket nak tengok kat Bukit Jalil sigh
Act 2 - Ahvang Awie pulak. Sepatah haram aku tak tahu lagu ni. Suka hati kau lah labu. Rambut kau tetao ganguan perasaan. Dah hujan pulak sekarang. Hebat pyro ke lampu ke apa benda ni. Company mana buat ni agaknya.Boleh la hire kalau nak buat birthday party sendiri lepas ni theme filem Jodie Foster & Bill Paxton - Twister.
Act 3 - Akak Sheila yang nampak kurus. Damn. Menyanyi lagu cari makan sejak 20 tahun. Err.... boleh tak panggil Ahvang Jamal lagi sekali. Dancers as usual nyemak aje.
Maka keluarlah MC berdua. (Please lah berdua aje) Baju yg gegirl cantik. Yg boboi pakai tie ke tuala kesat pinggan kat dapur tu? Mintak mahap saya tak paham sangat konsepnya. Err butang kat kot pun macam terlebih je. Right skang cue explanation about the night's theme - Air. Aku dengar macam white noise aje... the conclusion that I got? Saya nak buang AIR mendengarnya, sambil mengalirkan AIR mata?
1. Wanita Seluruh Dunia - Projek Pistol:
Hello ahvang2 on the trumpet, trombone and saxophone. Rambut Edrie tetap terbaik (masih tak tahu saloon mana dia pergi). Arrangement and the vocal surprisingly sedap. Cool idea adding in the brass section. Good job! If the lyrics have more depth, perhaps the song will have more substance and might stand a chance to win something tonight.
MC - bla bla bla bla bla deblab lalala yada yada yoya yoya ....Pistol Air. Main tembak-tembak Tah amenda.
2. Sedetik Lebih - Edry Halim/ Jac
Ok nothing beats Ah Vang Nuar I suppose. OK focus. Baju Jac cantik. Sweet color. Dia memang sentiasa pandai pilih what looks good on her. Anyhoo, I thot her voice was too edgy for the song. SO feeling to ada lari sket. Nevertheless, I think she did a very good job considering ni bukan lagu dia kan.
MC - bla bla bla super sub yada yada yada.. penyanyi yang digantikan. You are touching me. Nonsense.
3. Kekanda Adinda - Monoloque/ Atilia:
Ada makcik joget lambak...opps tu penyanyinya. Ok this is too busy. Semua benda nak letak. Nak main guitar tapi pakai kain pelikat. Nak letak angklong tapi ada drummer boy dari sekolah mana ni. This reminds me of the yearly inter school koir and band competition. Cuma aku tak nampak orang pegang recorder dengan castanette aje. Serious macam kelas muzik genderang sekolah rendah. I'm not progressive? Thank god. Next!
MC - pot pet pot pet pot pet.. Depa ni kena kejar train ke apa. Asyik tersyasyul aje.
4. Gadis Semasa - Yuna:
Aku memang tak tau lagu ni. So the first 5 minutes tu macam ... apakah ini? Nak nyanyi ke tak ni? Hmmm.. I can't decide whether I'm liking or dissing this song. There are parts of the vocal that shows some potential and exude coolness. What I can decide though.. is that I'm convinced that I am distrubed and keep on thinking how does one talk to the person sitting next to them with the head gear? Hoodie? On their head... hmmm. Eh dah habis pun lagunya. Good. But what the heck do I know. Suppose if Pharell Williams is producing your song, you must have some fierce music chops.
5. Kalau Berpacaran - Sohaimi Mior Hassan, Altimet & Ana Rafali:
Alamak, ada kedai-kedai kopi pulak. Ok jangan tengok gegirl nyanyi. Gediks la pulak (I guess the song calls for it). Dengar aje. Ok setan naik motor ye. I think this song is nice. They do not need the actors and the surrounding scene. But I thot Ana Rafali sitting amongst the dancers at the table, cool jugak. Tak perasan pun dia.
MC - tepuk amai-amai...belalang kupu-kupu.. tepuk biar ramai.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh they were talking about something else? Sounds the same aje.
6. Cinta Muka Buku - Najwa Latif/ Ika Latif:
The video clips of all of the youtube cover version was a good idea. The couple berlakon-berlakon dating not a good idea. The chelo (errr.. tapi tak sedap) not a good idea. Pink is sweet, the dress is not. But against all odds, 16 year old performing for the first time at AJL, I still salute you. There maybe some jitters, but she still hold her own court. A for effort.
Anugerah Juara Mobile - err ye la buat la apa-apa yang patut.
7. Karma - Faizal Tahir:
Standy for over dramatize and flair. Err.... boleh tak terbosan kejap? Hmm esok rasa macam nak pakai suit kaler purple la pergi keje. Macam Barney? All I can say.. the scarf is nice. Hmm why is there no goreng pisang when I need one? Ohhhhh ada kacang pagoda.......BRB.
MC - ada kebakaran? Piano terbakar. Wow.. tak berminatnya.
8. Kisah Hati - Alyah:
Charlie Chaplin? Music Box? Not bad... kudos for idea (the music box..not the charlie impersonator). Tapinya...Tangan tak penat ke? Tak pening ke? I thot the stage looks nice. And her vocal and music sounds good. Baju pun cantik. One thing that I like about this performance is that, dia kuar sorang-sorang aje. OH damnnnnnn spoke too soon. Tu dia Hero Malaya Ah Vang Remi la pulak...sighhhhhhhhh
9. Sungai Lui - Aizat:
Ok bunyi akuarium sape pulak ni. Kenapa dia pakai seluar hijau? Errr... ada sand art pulak. Nice! Tapi if win best performance, mamat sand art ni la patut dapat duit. Hehehe As I said before the song is a great song. But there are better songs out there. So All the Best Aizat.
Australia Open break sat... alaaaa tak sukanya this si Joko menang. Sian Nadal.
10. Penakut - Yuna:
Selamat datang ke pameran lampu over stock dari China. Seriously? Seriously? Bila aku dengar.. ini tidak adil ... ini tidak adil, rasa macam pening plak. At least the arrangement is better than her first song I think. Whatever la.
MC - Sape buat rambut gegirl ni? Le buroks.
11. Awan Nano - M Nasir/ Hafiz:
Silence please! Herman Tino memang terbaek. Best opening. Oh pakai t-shirt kodi dengan track bottom je. Cayalah. The vocals was superb. But I don't really feel the arrangements 3/4 of the song tapi ok la. Ok aku memang kata Herman Tino kena datang. But I would've choregorafed it differently. Aku rasa Hafiz aje yang nyanyi with feel. This one deserve best vocal, best performance and best song. Ambik kau!
12. Seribu Sesalan - Ning, Jac, Shila Amzah:
Standby, semua nak tunjuk vocal chops masing-masing. Err apsal sorang lagi pakai kaler lain? Awwww... I think the night already peaked with Hafiz. So whatever left is not relevant dah. But still this is a good song. And the 3 ladies did a good job indeed. Ok the forums are buzzing about people's ass. Hahah tak senonoh!
Closing:
Tribute to Sudirman by Black, Azlan & Hazama. Soalan, sekarang ni seluar kaler hijau is in ye? Ok, seluar hijau, scarf purple tadi, julian lenon glasses..oh ott hoodie. Right.Hmmm
The music arrangements by Ramli MS, tak perlu dipersoalkan la. I thot it's unique. Tapi yang tengah terkinja-kinja atas stage ni apa ke halnya? CHow Kit Road.. Chow Kit Road.. my fav masa kecik-kecik. Hehehe. Actually terasa macam disconnected pulak. Apasal audience ni refer liriks? Takkan tak tau lagu ni? Mana kacang tadi...BRB.

This reminds me of the yearly inter school koir and band competition. Cuma aku tak nampak orang pegang recorder dengan castanette aje. Serious macam kelas muzik genderang sekolah rendah. I'm not progressive? Thank god. Next!
MC - pot pet pot pet pot pet.. Depa ni kena kejar train ke apa. Asyik tersyasyul aje.

Aku memang tak tau lagu ni. So the first 5 minutes tu macam ... apakah ini? Nak nyanyi ke tak ni? Hmmm.. I can't decide whether I'm liking or dissing this song. There are parts of the vocal that shows some potential and exude coolness. What I can decide though.. is that I'm convinced that I am distrubed and keep on thinking how does one talk to the person sitting next to them with the head gear? Hoodie? On their head... hmmm. Eh dah habis pun lagunya. Good. But what the heck do I know. Suppose if Pharell Williams is producing your song, you must have some fierce music chops.
5. Kalau Berpacaran - Sohaimi Mior Hassan, Altimet & Ana Rafali:
Alamak, ada kedai-kedai kopi pulak. Ok jangan tengok gegirl nyanyi. Gediks la pulak (I guess the song calls for it). Dengar aje. Ok setan naik motor ye. I think this song is nice. They do not need the actors and the surrounding scene. But I thot Ana Rafali sitting amongst the dancers at the table, cool jugak. Tak perasan pun dia.
MC - tepuk amai-amai...belalang kupu-kupu.. tepuk biar ramai.... zzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh they were talking about something else? Sounds the same aje.
6. Cinta Muka Buku - Najwa Latif/ Ika Latif:
The video clips of all of the youtube cover version was a good idea. The couple berlakon-berlakon dating not a good idea. The chelo (errr.. tapi tak sedap) not a good idea. Pink is sweet, the dress is not. But against all odds, 16 year old performing for the first time at AJL, I still salute you. There maybe some jitters, but she still hold her own court. A for effort.

Charlie Chaplin? Music Box? Not bad... kudos for idea (the music box..not the charlie impersonator). Tapinya...Tangan tak penat ke? Tak pening ke? I thot the stage looks nice. And her vocal and music sounds good. Baju pun cantik. One thing that I like about this performance is that, dia kuar sorang-sorang aje. OH damnnnnnn spoke too soon. Tu dia Hero Malaya Ah Vang Remi la pulak...sighhhhhhhhh
9. Sungai Lui - Aizat:
Ok bunyi akuarium sape pulak ni. Kenapa dia pakai seluar hijau? Errr... ada sand art pulak. Nice! Tapi if win best performance, mamat sand art ni la patut dapat duit. Hehehe As I said before the song is a great song. But there are better songs out there. So All the Best Aizat.

10. Penakut - Yuna:
Selamat datang ke pameran lampu over stock dari China. Seriously? Seriously? Bila aku dengar.. ini tidak adil ... ini tidak adil, rasa macam pening plak. At least the arrangement is better than her first song I think. Whatever la.

Silence please! Herman Tino memang terbaek. Best opening. Oh pakai t-shirt kodi dengan track bottom je. Cayalah. The vocals was superb. But I don't really feel the arrangements 3/4 of the song tapi ok la. Ok aku memang kata Herman Tino kena datang. But I would've choregorafed it differently. Aku rasa Hafiz aje yang nyanyi with feel. This one deserve best vocal, best performance and best song. Ambik kau!
12. Seribu Sesalan - Ning, Jac, Shila Amzah:
Standby, semua nak tunjuk vocal chops masing-masing. Err apsal sorang lagi pakai kaler lain? Awwww... I think the night already peaked with Hafiz. So whatever left is not relevant dah. But still this is a good song. And the 3 ladies did a good job indeed. Ok the forums are buzzing about people's ass. Hahah tak senonoh!

Going GaGa at Grammys
Yes, I'm on leave today specifically so that I can catch the live telecast of the
53rd Grammy Awards. Bliss.
Lobes:
1. The opening tribute to Aretha Franklin. The 5 ladies mmg have crazy vocal chops! What I love is that no one try to outshine the other. Great vocals, great songs. R.E.S.P.E.C.T. (also lobes Jennifer Hudson who looks hot in the pants. bila aku nak kurus mcm dia ni)
2. The trio - B.O.B, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae. The slow rap by B.O.B is genius. Bruno Mars singing Grenade, 50s swing style is out of the world. And (aku tak pernah dgr sebenarnya) Janelle suddenly truning sort of white thrash teenage angst performance is actually cool though her voice mcm tak suit sgt. But seriously, I got nottttt...nothin on you guys!
3. Lady Gaga - I love that her costume is actually simple yet edgy and slutty or whatever you want to call it. Her performance is really pump up! Maybe being trapped in the egg helps a lot. Hahahah. You are indeed born this way!
4. Donnie Walhberg looking haaawtt presented an award! (Is there a Malaysian version of the Walhberg bros?)
5. Miranda Lambert's House That Built Me. Beautiful lyrics. Kudos that she won Best Female Country Vocal Performance, thumping Ms Underwood's Temporary Home (which I also like). Ms Underwood is no where to be seen. Am I missing something?
6. Eminem's Performance. I admit, aku tak paham sepatah haram yang dia nyanyi, but he was so pumped up, he brought the house down. Cool that he won Best Rap Album!
7. Lady Antebellum's I Need You Now. Brilliant. Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
8. Mick Jagger. Priceless!
9. The boys from How I Met Your Mother. Awesssome!
10. Top Ten List by David Letterman
11. Train won with Hey, Soul Sisters!
On the fence, Enghhh:
1. Cee Lo, Gywneth Paltrow and the Muppets. I love the song, I thot Gywneth sounded not bad.... I fucking hate the muppets! I hope Cee Lo's doing this out of mockery. It sure was funny though. And I thot the lyrics is super cool!
2. Usher. I always love his performance. Somehow, I think he lost steam. Maybe dah tua. OMGGG.
3. Anak Usher. J Bieb. He's solo 'Baby Baby' on guitar is way better than the half cooked mortal combat show, Never Say Never. He has the voice. But I think he needs more Umphh to pull out that kind of performance.
4. Hillary Scott's acceptance speech. Makcik, it's boring! Keep it upbeat and cool y'all.
5. Album of the Year and Best New Artist winner. Who are these people. But still, congrats I suppose?!! Err...
Pure WTF
1. J* Smith. I'm not a big fan of budak tak akil baligh ni. Let him stew a bit... and then he'll be da bomb. Seriously.
2. R*h*nn*. Yes the songs are great. But I think she thinks she's hot, perasan. Whatever la.
3. The whole bunch of rednecks syok sendiri (not including Bob Dylan). Trade the banjos with BB guns and shoot yourselves in the foot guys. Don't get me wrong. I love Country Music... but too much southern flair rasa mcm pening. Having said that, the front man of Mumfords and Sons, is comel!
4. K Perry. Somehow, aku rasa mcm bosan tengok muka dia. And showing her wedding I assume on the background makes it lame. I know she's going for the sweet Valentine theme, but all I got is LAME.
5. Matt Bell's shout out to pregnant gf. Eiii. (Ok maybe I have angst against people in love sbb loser and single... but still ... all I can think of is.. Skank!)
All I can say now is that I should have bought Lady's Antebellum's album the other day. (Now I have to go out and get it).

Bola Emas
That's what the translation say of Golden Globes. Hahaha.
I'm at home while waiting for the contrator to do some reno work. Managed to catch half of it before I had to switch off the TV sebab they have to paint the walls behind it. Hmpph.
Anyhoo... lobes the winners. Here are my favorites:
Yipeeeee! Colin won the best actor award. Can't wait to watch King's Speech.
Next, Chris Colfer aka Kurt. Yeeayyyy Gleeee
Then, Claire Danes. Ok saje nak post gambar laki dia jugak. Heheh no idea what this role is about, but I always like her as an actress. Love the dress as well. Plus this is her 2nd Golden Globe win. Hebat.
Ok, this guy didn't win, but in my book he's a winner all right. He was great in Social Network. However, the pictures that I found of the guy he's playing real life.. errr.. tak comel pun. Also love that Social Network won the best screen play and direction.
Also, spotted a lot tonight though tak menang - 'Marky' Mark Walhberg. He's one of the producers of Boardwalk Empire. Also nomitaed for his role in The Fighter. I wish I could be one of his funky bunch ;P
Ok yang ni pun saje gedik nak letak. I wonder if Blue Valentine is as tear jearking, heart wrenching as Notebook.
Hmm 2010 Sexiest Man of the Year nowhere to be seen pulak.
I was hoping that Depp would win for his role in Alice in Wonderland, tapi tidak nampaknya. It's ok. Here's the full list of nominee and winners.
Can't wait for the fashion police tomorrow. I don't really get the shoulder pad revival, but I thot Leighton Meester looks great in one.

The Silver Jubilee goes to ...
Masa kecik-kecik dulu, I think there were two things that I looked forward yearly. The Final of Malaysia FA Cup and Juara Lagu. I can't remember when I stopped bothering about Malaysia FA.... but I never missed watching Juara Lagu. From Azwan Ali to Ogy to these 3 stooges ops Mod Squad (whatever.. I thot they should bring Ogy and Azwan just for this 25th year). From K Melah's blinking hearts to KRU botched pyro to the rock kapak era to Pak Ngah's domination with Ethic Creatif to Ning's hig Falsetto to the uprising of the Indie acts, saw it all.
25 years - hats off to the TV3!
Brilliant opening: I was 8 when Francisca Peter won Muzik-Muzik with Manan Ngah. I loved that they opened with her. Of course she doesn't look like she did then, neither do I. Hahah. Next is Nash (who I think is already on his way to see a doctor). Jerit pun jerit la bang, esok seminggu hilang suara pun tak apa. Janji sedap. Ohhh then came out M Nasir. I lobes his performance. He is very composed. Hate the dancers as usual.
1. Sempurna (Yuna)
The ochestra was brilliant at the beginning. Her vocal was brilliant. Her playing the keyboard was brilliant. But somehow, I'm not feeling this as much as I did during the semis. Personally I think she should have just let it be low key and just have only the orchestra to back her up. No doubt she is very talented. Whatever it is, this song still have my vote to win something tonight.
2. Berlari (Tomok/ Tomok & Shazee Ishak/ Tomok)
Tommy Tomok!!! Alamak..ni MJ ke apa ni? The changes in the arrangement is great. I think vocally Tomok could've done better. I was not going to say much about this performance.. but I can't. The Slash celup is absolute rubbish. Baik pakai songkok bang. Baru aku respect sket. Right this is not about you but Tomok. The camera during this performance is a bit slacking, can't really see the choreography.

OK. I never paid any attention to this song before. No idea what it is about so I don't really understand what's with the 'I'm injured' theme. And the accompanying band in black robes. Err.. lepas tu drummer kena lari ke depan utk jatuh kiok beramai-ramai. Tak boleh ke tergolek kat drum set tu aje? Err..Ahh...hummm... err tak tau nak cakap apa la.
4. Kebahagiaan Dalam Perpisahan (Shahir/ Edry Abdul Halim)
What do we call a guy who came on stage wearing a cape? ...A cape? ...A cape? A f*ck*ng capppee! (ok ni lepas dia kibas-kibas cape ni macam Zorro). Ok NO front shot please, seluar ketat sial. Yang makcik ni bercakap-bercakap, meroyan kat tepi ni kenapa? Kenapa la N.A, kau nak terlibat dalam kancah pertelingkahan ni? Aku dah tak paham hujung pangkal lagu ni. Alamak.. Captain Cape kena penampar sebijik. Apakah? E, you should have done better. This boy should just stood there and flex his vocal cords to the max.
5. Drama King (Meet Uncle Hussain & Black/ Taja/ Tun Teja)
Ramli MS and the Orchestra really outdone the opening of this song. Lobes it! Lobes the coats. Hate the pantomine or whatever they are called. Eye brow raising over the tights Black is wearing. Anyhoo I don't know if the sound in the stadium is better, but I think the band is tad too loud. Black's vocal is drowning.Hmm I begining to think that this performace is a bit overrated. I have such high hopes for this song. I hope it will still win.
6. Noktah Cinta (Hafiz/ Ajai/ Sheikh Qalam)
Ok I stand corrected. Ada jugak jawa dari masai ni. You can't go wrong by going back to basic. Kan senang nyanyi je macam biasa. Ok...dah keluar pulak scene tembak menembak....I spoke too soon :( What's with the white suits ni? Ada sale kain ela kat Jalan Tar ke? At least his vocal is great. And the song does sound good.
ADOOOIII the script is really killing me. TAK BOLEH BLAHHH DE!
7. Tolong Ingatkan Aku (Ana Raffali)
Hmmm. The guitars were nice. Sounds like some country act in the Grammy's. Not bad at all. What's bad is that you have such a huge stage, and you choose to sing in a cage? Ok this is rubbish. If I close my eyes and just listen to the song and vocal, I would say it's a good performance. The unnecessary gimmics are spoiling this show.
8. Selamat Malam (Faizal Tahir/ Audi Mok/ Faizal Tahir)
OK disturbing pulak aku tengok akak pregnant ni. OK ni dah blow out of portion. Dah keluar Aziz Satar pulak. Ya rabbi, lagu ni sedap. Suara sedap. Kenapa nak ada orang berlakon merepek meraban ni. Tak paham aku. Lepas tu dah ackward si FT ni nak rock kangkang sendiri kat depan. Arghhhhhhh apa benda ni????
9. Ku Ada Kamu (Adira/ Edry Abdul Halim)
My first thot was, eh opening Olympics kat Beijing. 2nd thot, hedious dress. But I will overlook all those, because I love this song. I thot her vocal was not bad except she didn't managed to sustain it in the end. I love the arrangement. I hope this performance will win something.
Ok script pengacara ni dah masuk kurang ajar. Nyampah tahap gaban sial.
10. Extravaganza (Bunkface/ Sam Bunkface/ Bunkface)
OK vocal tu memang ke laut lepas la. But I have to give props for the useage of the stage, visuals and lights. Nampak mcm stylo la jugak. Other than that, aku macam termenung kejap masa ni. Suam suam kuku aje vibenya. The low key bridge was nice though.
11. Sofea Jane (Black/ Sham Kamikaze & Iswandy/ Farril)
White lagi. Lebih stok baju sekolah ke? Errk..Back to business. I lobes this song. But I have this nagging feeling that his vocal lacked the umpph that makes this song beautiful. Macam kureng feelnya. OK la kasi chance la nak tarikkkkk part last tu. Best vocal? will see.
SOO SWEATTTT. I'm sweating here dude, cut it already.
12. Hanyut (Faizal Tahir/ Audi Mok/ Faizal Tahir)
Nampaknya harga besi juga dah murah. Ramai pulak bawak props besi2, jaring2, cage. This song is great, no doubt. Vocal is great as well. Huyoooo masuk dalam air. Ada baldi ke kat situ? Baju basah jangan bukak bang. Nanti kena ban lagi. Hahaha. So far props ni paling hebat. Kudos.
13. Jahat (Stacy/ Edry Abdul Halim)
The shaolin getups were kinda cool actually. Too bad the song came out the end of the night, when the show has lost it's steam. Nevertheless, Stacy did bring it. Dah 3 kali dia masuk final, don't you think it's high time that she's awarded something. Best performance ke. Whatever the outcome is, good job Stacy!
14. Mencari Konklusi (Hujan/ Noh Hujan)
Again the orchestra sound great! Overall the music sound dramatic and loud, the way it should be I supposed, which is good. I think half of the audience is already asleep. So this should wake them up. I'm really disturbed with what the drummer is wearing on his face though. Otherwise, biasa aje performance ni.

Now comes the part that I have been waiting for. First up, K Pah. OMG! Ni la Vocal terbaik malam ni. Kau Tinggi Di Awan Biru, this song really blew me away! Finally something to save the night. Oh Di Mana, here comes the soul train. Layannnn. Bila pulak keluar Latif Ibrahim or Herry Amir! Hahaha. Wuhuuuuuuuu Sekebun Cintaaaaaaa!!! Tu dia Anggapanmu Ziana Zain. Vocal pun da bomb. I like! We can hear that the crowd is loving this. I shall ignore the baju yang over the top tu. Madah berhelah plak. For this segment so far, aku memang frust la tak dapat ticket nak tengok live :( Waaa.. Nampaknya ni pun akan join Nash pi jumpa doktor esok. Nasib boleh control lagi. Good job.

Ye la vocal chops kau memang best. Dah macam konsert dia pulak, syok sendiri pun ada. Cindai ni ok. Aku suka juga. Tetiba nak berdance pulak makcik ni. Suka ati la beb. Yang kelakar tu bila kau geli hati sendiri bila step salah.

It's here again
Yes, AJL is here again. And again, aku tak dapat tiket nak tengok live! Grrr... penat tunggu on 31st Dec, tapi rupanya tiket keluar hari lain pulak! 900 tix gone within 30 minutes? Nampaknya tengok kat rumah aje lah.

Anyhoo, esok perintah berkurung at 9pm. The songs this year are great. My personal favorites are Sempurna, Drama King and dengan tak malunya mengaku jugak suka Sofea Jane and (gasp) Ku Ada Kamu. Jawa dari Masai tiada dalam senarai, I like! Looking forward to tomorrow night :)

I find this year's Grammy's performance is pretty lacklustre. I only like Pink, Green Day, Dave Matthew's Band, of course, Bon Jovi with Jeniffer Nettles (from Sugarland). Strange that this is the first time that Bon Jovi performed at the Grammy's. I thot Pink's performance is wayyy cooler than Beyonce.
The past performances were more memorable. I love Joss Stone with Melissa Etheridge doing a tribute for Janis Joplin. Then there was Sugarland with Adele last year. I wonder why last year, Sugarland's "Stay" was not part of the Grammy's nominee album. And now, Ronan Keating is doing the cover of the song. Apakah?
Well, here's to King's of Leon. Let see who will win next year.

AJL 24
Wuhuu... yang ditunggu-tunggu sudah tiba. walaupun tak dapat tengok kat stadium, akak dah bersedia since 8.30 depan TV. So here goes nothing...
Opening
Siti Nurhaliza - I don't get the costume esp the boots, macam nak pergi smackdown pulak, but at the very least, the attempt to sing Lagu Untukmu should be given A for effort. But having said that.. the song in padang pasir sound is a bit weird. And who would've thought she would open for AJL. As far as I can remember she's always a contestant in AJL. I still think Aku Cinta Padamu by 18 year old Siti is da Bomb!
1. Estraged - Aurora
As soon as Rich opened his mouth, the mood went south. I think the performance was a bit busy. The choir (nak kena ada conductor sekali ke?) is distracting rather than complementing the band. I don't see the song winning the best song.
2. Alyah - Tak Mungkin Kerna Sayang
I kinda like the song.. till I saw who's the song writer. Eii Jawa dari Masai. Anyway, it's still a nice song. She has a good voice and can do without the creepy crawlies behind her. Ni mesti idea si mamat ni... so zaman 70, macam persembahan budak sekolah. Distracting aje. Baju.. the top part is nice.. the bottom part, tetiba terbelah power... terkejut siut. Nevertheless, she looked and sound confident. I like it. Maybe a chance in best Vocal? We'll see.
3. Misha Omar- Cinta Adam dan Hawa
One outstanding thing about this song is that it's written by the late Loloq. Supposedly his last piece of work. Lots of respect goes to it. Ok What the F with the pemidato at the begining of the performance? No offense bro.. but it's crap. With that, I hope this song doesn't win anything. Ah... here comes the Maddona-Vogue move again.. with singer hidden behind them. Darjah kebosanan semakin meningkat. Here comes the singer with the christmast light left overs from Orchard Road. Darjah keburukan baju ini melebihi skala richter. Adooiii... bila la nak berakhir penyeksaan ini. Kalau tengok kat stadium ni mesti bontot aku cramp masa ni. Rasa nak balik je...
4. Hafiz - Masih Jelas
Ok first impression best. Dia keluar sorang aje. Tak payah ada dancer. Tetiba, the light shown on the stage. Ada apa dengan bunga-bunga kering dari Ikea atas stage itu? Nonsense. Somehow I think the musice is too loud... so was the back up singer. His voice macam tak keluar. Good atempt, but don't see this performance winning anything.
5. Bunkface - Situasi
Ok I have good vibe about this song. The opening with the piano is excellent. However, i think the vocal is a bit out esp when the 2nd dude sings... the very sengau.Performance wise... it's lacking something. Macam takde wow factor..... until the kids same out and ada pulak groupies yang di bayar untuk terkinja atas stage. Macam bersemengat sket... tapi of course vocal tetap out. I vote this one as one of the songs that might win best song.
6. Stacy - Pakai Buang
Ada pulak puji-pujian untuk KRU. Le Bozan. Here's comes Stacy. Ok, walaupun tah apa benda la lagu ni... I give her full credit for not losing a beat and sustaining the energy all the while singing. Gila energetic siut. KRU is pulling all stop on this one. Segala pyro, lightings, montage and tah apa benda semua dah keluar. Big chance to win best performance.
7. Aizat - Pergi
This song is from Talentime. Excellent. Originally this song was in English, then translated into malay. I have such high hope for this song... akan tetapi ada pulak la kuar aunty and uncle dari Brickfields opening untuk dia. Aku sudah ganguan perasaan. Aunty tu macam pontianak pun ada. 8. Hujan - Aku Scandal
Another crowd's favorite. Ok hands down, it was brilliant to start off the performance with a 50's vibe and kick things off with great music. I thot they sounded way better then Bunkface. Both music and vocal. This one has my vote for best song. Good job Hujan! Err... but was it on purpose that the crowd datang terkinja-kinja kat depan tu? Noh looks confused? But it did add a great feel to the performance. And may I know who did Noh's hair? Can I have the number please? tak tahan....
9. Tomok - Rindu Terhenti
Ok akak ganguan perasaan dengan baju dia... and what's with the holding the violin macam pegang nangka masak? Buang itu violin please. What can I say, you can't go wrong with an Aubrey Suwito song. And I thot Tomok sound very good and composed. I will pretend to not see the boring choir that came out. So not necessary. This one might have a good chance to get best Vocal. Go Tommy Tomok!
10. Black - Aku Rindu Sayang Kamu.
Apakah maksud title lagu ini? Macam Nasi Goreng Rebus Enak. Or Air Sejuk Panas Suam. See... tah apa-apa. Ok maybe aku tak paham. Apa-apa je la. Wah, abang berani keluar dari bawah. Tapi kasut abang buruk. Dan jugak apa benda yang kat bahu abang tu. Nevertheless, i thot he had good voice. I'm liking this AJL very much, all the songs are good and vocal wise semua orang not bad. Although macam performance budak darjah 6 masa Hari Guru, this one is worth a good mention I suppose. But please, choir walau berdiri dalam crowd, atas stage, tepi stage, atas tangga.... it's all been done. Next!
11. Akim - Bengang
Akim, kenapa ada helicopter cari Akim? Apakah? Lain kali kalau takde idea nak pakai baju apa, jangan la pakai baju hujan ye. Hmmm... AF wise, I think Akim did a better job than Hafiz. He's voice is more powerful. I like this song very much. But a chance in winning? Unlikely.
12. Yuna - Dan Sebenarnya
A girl with a guitar? That spells HEBAT. I think this song is brilliant. In fact, i see this song as one of the top contenders to win. From the shouts of the crowd, clearly this is one of the favorites. However, the starting is a bit messy with the kiddies piano. I know she know she got that from Marit' Larsen's If A Song Could Get Me You video clip. Unfortunately, I think the music arragements spoiled the song. Might still win best song, but the performance left me yawning. Hmmm...a bit disappointing.
13. Aizat - Kau Aku
Ok.. bawak pulak adik-adik yang patut dah tidur, esok nak pi sekolah. So now this songs is suppose to give a feel good vibe, bersemangat nak sekolah dan menimba ilmu. Damn.. I thot this song is suppose to be cool. Oh tidakkk... adik-adik sedang lari setempat. Apakah? I know you meant well Aizat. The song and your vocal was great. But I just don't buy the High School Musical meets School of Rock look and feel . I'm not surprise if it wins tonight, but I stand by my verdict:LAMMMEEEEEE.
14. Faizal Tahir - Bencinta
Ok no komen about the rumors about santau and what not. It's just not his luck I suppose that he is under the weather. I like this song, though I'm not a fan of FT. My first thot was .. eh macam Micheal Jackson yang sakit. I thot his vocal was great. Maybe kena menyanyi dengan tongkat baru suara tu control. Wah tetiba boleh bertukar jadi Shila pulak. Huyooo... this smells like the best performance.

Peralihan music dari zaman ke zaman. I like. First up, Jefri Din. Terasa macam nak beli jacket merah untuk pergi keje esok. Macam kerja AMBANK pun ya. Eh... was it just us? But tiba-tiba the tv went blank. OMG! Dah 24 tahun buat ANUGERAH BERPRESTIJ ni tetiba ada technical glitch? Someone's gonna get their ass fired tomorrow. WTF?
Ah thank god, everything was ok shortly. Out came Jay Jay complete with 70s do. I love it. " Apalah yang hendak di kata..." Aduii his voice is da bomb! Right now comes Search. Hohum.. nyanyi lagu Jembalang Tanah Masak Asam Pedas. Bring on the jiwang karatz pleaseeee. Yeay! Bulan Madu di Awan Biru. Err.. tapi sedikit ganguan perasaan dengan wig Amy. Macam lady boy dari Patpong pun ada.

Siti Nurhaliza - I don't get the costume esp the boots, macam nak pergi smackdown pulak, but at the very least, the attempt to sing Lagu Untukmu should be given A for effort. But having said that.. the song in padang pasir sound is a bit weird. And who would've thought she would open for AJL. As far as I can remember she's always a contestant in AJL. I still think Aku Cinta Padamu by 18 year old Siti is da Bomb!

As soon as Rich opened his mouth, the mood went south. I think the performance was a bit busy. The choir (nak kena ada conductor sekali ke?) is distracting rather than complementing the band. I don't see the song winning the best song.
2. Alyah - Tak Mungkin Kerna Sayang
I kinda like the song.. till I saw who's the song writer. Eii Jawa dari Masai. Anyway, it's still a nice song. She has a good voice and can do without the creepy crawlies behind her. Ni mesti idea si mamat ni... so zaman 70, macam persembahan budak sekolah. Distracting aje. Baju.. the top part is nice.. the bottom part, tetiba terbelah power... terkejut siut. Nevertheless, she looked and sound confident. I like it. Maybe a chance in best Vocal? We'll see.
3. Misha Omar- Cinta Adam dan Hawa
One outstanding thing about this song is that it's written by the late Loloq. Supposedly his last piece of work. Lots of respect goes to it. Ok What the F with the pemidato at the begining of the performance? No offense bro.. but it's crap. With that, I hope this song doesn't win anything. Ah... here comes the Maddona-Vogue move again.. with singer hidden behind them. Darjah kebosanan semakin meningkat. Here comes the singer with the christmast light left overs from Orchard Road. Darjah keburukan baju ini melebihi skala richter. Adooiii... bila la nak berakhir penyeksaan ini. Kalau tengok kat stadium ni mesti bontot aku cramp masa ni. Rasa nak balik je...
4. Hafiz - Masih Jelas
Ok first impression best. Dia keluar sorang aje. Tak payah ada dancer. Tetiba, the light shown on the stage. Ada apa dengan bunga-bunga kering dari Ikea atas stage itu? Nonsense. Somehow I think the musice is too loud... so was the back up singer. His voice macam tak keluar. Good atempt, but don't see this performance winning anything.
5. Bunkface - Situasi
Ok I have good vibe about this song. The opening with the piano is excellent. However, i think the vocal is a bit out esp when the 2nd dude sings... the very sengau.Performance wise... it's lacking something. Macam takde wow factor..... until the kids same out and ada pulak groupies yang di bayar untuk terkinja atas stage. Macam bersemengat sket... tapi of course vocal tetap out. I vote this one as one of the songs that might win best song.
6. Stacy - Pakai Buang
Ada pulak puji-pujian untuk KRU. Le Bozan. Here's comes Stacy. Ok, walaupun tah apa benda la lagu ni... I give her full credit for not losing a beat and sustaining the energy all the while singing. Gila energetic siut. KRU is pulling all stop on this one. Segala pyro, lightings, montage and tah apa benda semua dah keluar. Big chance to win best performance.
7. Aizat - Pergi
This song is from Talentime. Excellent. Originally this song was in English, then translated into malay. I have such high hope for this song... akan tetapi ada pulak la kuar aunty and uncle dari Brickfields opening untuk dia. Aku sudah ganguan perasaan. Aunty tu macam pontianak pun ada. And so it begin...
Adalah menjadi cita-cita saya tahun ini untuk pergi sebanyak concert yang boleh. Hence begin my headache yang sengaja diada-adakan.
1. I have no idea that Ne-Yo is coming to town till someone told me and I saw on someone's FB that she already bought ticket. Apakah? Kenapa saya tidak tahu? Oh sebab saya tidak berminat dengan Ne-Yo. Tapi kalau dapat ticket free..apa salahnya. As if.
2. Ada seorang sahabat telah cuba meracun saya untuk concert Muse. Muse in Singapore. On a Wednesday? Apakah lagi. Kenapa semua concert-concert ni in the middle of the week. Stress sudah. (Stress sebab sebenarnya gedik nak pergi walaupun tak tahu apa pun lagu Muse)
3. Dah browse-browse pasal Muse, tetiba ternampak pulak.. Glenn Fredly in Singapore. 6th Feb. 3 days after Muse. Sudahhhh... mana tahu kot-kot Glenn ajak Judika open untuk dia pulak? Oh tidak. Pening sudah. Pun begitu berangan, if naik bas siang... mlm tengok concert pastu balik naik bas lagi. Tak payah tido. Berjaya tak?
4. Tapinya 6th Feb tu ada pulak ABBA celup kat KL. Menarik jugak. So macam mana? Entah...
5. 10 Jan pulak ada Juara Lagu finals. Adalah menjadi harapan nak pergi tengok lagi Juara Lagu in. The one time that I managed to go was with some friends in 2004, tah macam mana dapat ticket. Masa tu feeling sendiri bila Anuar Zain nyanyi Semua Untukmu, siap ber'coat tail' bagai. Sangka menang la best vocal. Sekali si Misha Omar yang nyanyi lagu Pontianak apa ke benda tah yang menang. Dah la keluar dengan hantu pocong. And best song was Relaku Pujuk by Spider. Nevertheless, the experience was great. Tak sama dengan tengok kat TV. Lagu yang bodoh-bodoh tu pun kau boleh terpegun dengar.. So mana nak beli ticket? Nak tepon-tepon radio tu memang la tak berjaya nak dapat ticket.
6. Sighhh.... sudahnya, jom tengok badminton la. Proton Malaysia Open Super Series. Final on 24th Jan. Wahai sahabat handai yang bekerja di Proton boleh dapat ticket free ke :)

And the short of it...
Aha.. suddenly there's a lot of interesting news going on this week. So let's make it short
First up, Malaysian football team is in the Sea Games final, after beating Laos 3-1 in the semis. Tak sia-sia aku duduk rumah tengok. So how come they suddenly play better? Oh no wonder this is the under-23 squad. Tiada kuda tua dibenarkan main. Thank God! Did not recognize any of the players accept the poser twins of course. And another factor of Malaysian victory was that the striker twin is not in the squad anymore... heard he was sent home sbb sakit perut.. ke some nonsense reason. Thank God lagi! Aku serious rasa dia tak boleh harap.
We were sceptical thru out the match even though Malaysia was leading 1-0. We feel that Laos will pull a MU by scoring a very last minute goal. Dah siap dah membincangkan the headlines in the next day news. Among top picks:
1. Skuad Harimau Hilang Belang
2. So near yet so far
3. Harapan Musnah oleh Pengakosayo (or any of the Laos player's name)

No tiga, the Golden globe nominees are out. As usual, I'm worried because I haven't seen most of the movies nominated....but I notice a few. And boy what a laugh!
Nominated for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy are 1) Hangover and 2) 500 Days of Summer. Hahahah most of the Yahoo readers are chosing Hangover. Hahahhaha. Pada sesiapa yang tak tengok lagi Hangover, please do so. And let me know if lepas tu terasa nak menyetan or rasa macam nak kena heart attack? and 500 Days of Summer.... heheheh which brings us to Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy nominees - Joseph Gordon-Levitt (for 500 days of Summer). The experts from the website picked him! Eventhough there's Robert Downey Jr iun the list. I'd really like to see him win... Joseph that is. Hahahahha.

A Single Man, playing a Gay Man (of course). Sighhhhh...
And for the love of god, will you give Neil Patrick Harris the Globe already for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for Television! He's gay and yet he's playing such an asshole of a MCP with such flair! I like. And there's Glee nominated alongside 30 Rock and Entourage and the Office. I do hope they win pulak.
And yang paling penting sekali, setelah 7 hari mencari jawapan, setelah kena restore 2 kali, setelah mendownload 3 file dalam 3 malam, setelah tidak bayar satu sen pun - Ipode II ( Ipod Touchku) telah di upgrade ke firware 3.1.2.

There must be something in the water...
.. that's causing the outburst of cotton pickers all over New York.

I suppose this is the lowest low of her being unsporting. Far worst when she accussed the French crowd of booing her against Henin. She just come undone under pressure. Tidak dapat mengawal inner chi. When she broke her racket after losing the 1st set, I knew Kim had a great chance to win. In the second set, she hit every ball as if it's a hand grenade coming her way. In the end, she was foot faulted, and was penalize a point which coincidently happened at match point. Best line ever.."I swear to God, I will take this ball and shove it down your throat.."So habis cerita. Aku ternganga. The crowd ternganga. Line judge pun nganga. Kim Clijsters pun nganga. Sama-sama nganga. I have to say that Kim was robbed of her thunder. Kesian dia. But who cares, janji menang. The match really had a bad after taste. But I have to hand it to Serena. I watched the after match interview, she was cool as cat and answering questions with shrugs. In fact, I find it funny. Some people was saying that she's arrogant. 2009, the movies so far...
It's already March. Kehidupan masih sama, masih malas macam biasa. Finally I'm a wee bit inspired to blog. There's nothing good on TV anyway. So I have been watching quite a number of movies already. Here's my two cents
1. VALKYRIE, staring Tom Cruise.
One word to describe it: COMPELLING!
What's it about: About a plot to kill Hitler lead by Colonel Stauffenberg (played by Tom Cruise) using Operation Valkyrie. This opeartion was approved by Hitler, basically to mobilize his reserve army to take control of the civil affair should anything happen to Germany. Read more here
Favourite quote: By Stauffenberg to Olbritch " Look them in the eye. They "ll remember you".
Must Watch? Yes! But not if you are bordering depressed. Walking out you will feel depressed. Rasa macam tak nak makan lepas tu. Having said that, Tom Cruise looked yummy as ever and he really outdid himself in this role. Kudos!
2. MARLEY AND ME, staring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston
One word to describe it: BORING (to the point of suicide!)
What's it about: About normal life story: love, fights, dreams, work, babies... from the day they got married till they got 3 kids. And right in the middle of it all is this unruly dog that they should have put down in the first 5 minutes of the movie, called Marley.
Favorite quote: None, really.
Must Watch? Only if someone put a gun to your head.
3. BURN AFTER READING, staring George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, and many others...
One word to describe it: IDIOTIC.
What's it about: Basically the Coen brothers are making fun of the CIA. The movie started of when 2 fitness trainer try to blackmail an ex CIA agent over what they thought was some classified CIA data. The movie just got more twisted over the minutes.

Must Watch? Definitely. Only then you will believe why the movie deserves all the Oscars that it won. Though the hype was over Dev Patel and Freida Pinto, I still think that the real talent lies with the young actors. Especially the young Jamal - Ayush Mahesh Khedekar (the one on the right). Pure talent. Hats off to everyone in this movie!
1. VALKYRIE, staring Tom Cruise.
One word to describe it: COMPELLING!
What's it about: About a plot to kill Hitler lead by Colonel Stauffenberg (played by Tom Cruise) using Operation Valkyrie. This opeartion was approved by Hitler, basically to mobilize his reserve army to take control of the civil affair should anything happen to Germany. Read more here

Must Watch? Yes! But not if you are bordering depressed. Walking out you will feel depressed. Rasa macam tak nak makan lepas tu. Having said that, Tom Cruise looked yummy as ever and he really outdid himself in this role. Kudos!
2. MARLEY AND ME, staring Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston
One word to describe it: BORING (to the point of suicide!)
What's it about: About normal life story: love, fights, dreams, work, babies... from the day they got married till they got 3 kids. And right in the middle of it all is this unruly dog that they should have put down in the first 5 minutes of the movie, called Marley.
Favorite quote: None, really.
Must Watch? Only if someone put a gun to your head.
3. BURN AFTER READING, staring George Clooney, Tilda Swinton, Brad Pitt, John Malkovich, and many others...
One word to describe it: IDIOTIC.
What's it about: Basically the Coen brothers are making fun of the CIA. The movie started of when 2 fitness trainer try to blackmail an ex CIA agent over what they thought was some classified CIA data. The movie just got more twisted over the minutes.
Favorites quotes: 1) "Did you get the Cheeses? You did not get the cheeses? Now I have to drive out and get the cheeses!" - Tilda Swinton
2) "Tell Dr Cox, I have the new keys" (then he went and broke down the door with an ax! while wearing his boxers and bathrobe!!) - John Malkovich
Mush Watch? Hell yeah. You'll have buckets of laughter over it.
4. SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE, staring Dev Patel and Frieda Pinto.

Tiada Bintang...
In your face F.T! Is this Anugerah Juara Lagu ke Anugerah F.T. Semata? CONGRATULATIONS to Meet Uncle Hussain. Indie band memang original. Tak payah nak gunting2 rambut atas stage or angkut kipas nak bagi rambut terbang or buat tarian kipas pusing2. So yesterday.
Tak larat nak tulis panjang tapi sebab dah pump up Lagu UntukMu menang, aku tulis la jugak ni.

- Ayu suara sedap and nice dress. Looks cun in white.

- Ziana Zain still boley maintain suara
- Elyana's Kalis Rindu. Her props mcm sweet and tak annoying
- Adik rock kangkang nyanyi Gadis Melayu
- Meet Uncle Hussain superb performance. They own it!
- Estranged
- Stacy and her crew who danced their hearts out.
- Sampai Surga not the Song of the Year

Seringkali - Damn it,Malik!
Still about the film award show
Ct sang Sharipah Aini's Hapuslah Airmatamu. Hands down memang dia talented. Suara sedap. But then, given the scandal/gossip that occurred some years ago... isn't it weird?
No, I'm not going to talk about it. I want to talk about Maman's Seringkali that the dude from Def Cab C sang. Ahhhh... there can only be one Maman. Pun begitu, the song brought back fond memories. Damn it, Malik - Layar Lara Soundtrack is one of the best album EVER. And let's not even start with the movie and Ena Manjalara binti Wagiman.. hahahha
Sadly, dulu tak mampu nak beli CD. I just own the casette.. which dah hilang. So, where can we find a 10 year old album?
