Something Beautiful

I had a sudden urge to listen to Robbie William's Come Undone. So on my way out to work, I picked up the CD so that I can listen to it while driving to work. Slot in the CD, and off we go to work. Come Undone was track no 12... so I just let the CD spin and it came to track no 3, Something Beautiful.

Hey... this is not a bad of a song. Has a happy vibe, and great lyrics. Lobes it.

Something Beautiful - Robbie Williams

You can't manufacture a miracle
The silence was pitiful that day.
A love is getting too cynical
Passion's just physical these days
You analyze everyone you meet
But get no sign, love ain't kind
every night you admit defeat
and cry yourself blind

[Chorus]
If you can't wake up in the morning
Cause your bed lies vacant at night
If you're lost, hurt, tired or lonely
Can't control it, try as you might
May you find that love that won't leave you
May you find it by the end of the day
You won't be lost, hurt, tired and lonely
Something beautiful will come your way

The DJ said on the radio
Life should be stereo, each day
In the past you cast the unsuitable
Instead of some kind of beautiful, you just couldn't wait
All your friends think you're satisfied
But they can't see your soul no, no, no
Forgot the time feeling petrified, when they lived alone

[Repeat chorus]

Some kind of beautiful (will come your way)
[x4]

All your friends think you're satisfied
But they can't see your soul no no no We
Forgot the time feeling petrified
When they lived alone

[Repeat chorus]

Well I sure hope there's something beautiful will come my way tomorrow coz, when I reached my office I can't get the CD out and had to pry it out using a thin ruler. And now, my cd player is ngok ngek. Is it a sign to get the player with 6 cd changer that I've always dreamt of? Or better yet, get a new car that comes with a 6 CD changer in it?

Siiigggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And isn't it ironic?

..don't you think?

Well life has a funny way of sneaking up on you
When you think everything's okay and everything's going right
And life has a funny way of helping you out when
You think everything's gone wrong and everything blows up
In your face

Ironic - Alanis Morisette

I was browsing last year's thrash mag when I saw this. Hahahahha. Oh well... actually it's just a reason to post gambar si Cantik Tertarik Kau Memang da Bomb. But it's so scandalicious ain't it? May these people find inner peace one way or another. And the one that was stripped off his captain armband.. ambik kau!

On footies front, there's 2.. or maybe 3 things on my mind:

1. Blues is still on top of the table though it's very nyawa di hujung tanduk position.
2. Blues is without 1st and 2nd choice keeper and with Inter Milan looming over in a few days lagi, sangat menakutkan. I shall try to watch the game and give full support (kononnya). May my acne be in reasonable state despite the lack of sleep.
3. The thing that I have been denying the most, seems can't be help anymore. Si cantik tertarik maybe be free for grabs by end of this season. From the talk on the street, seems Manure and neighbour Manure City is interested. Perderhakaan tahap gaban la jika dia move ke Manure land... sama macam Mohd Oweng. I can't even begin to imagine the heartbreak :(

Well it ain't over till the fat lady sings y'all!

My Weapon of Choice

Ok I meant to post this last week. Sekarang semuanya sudah terlambat. Kesian.. Alex Lambert and Lily Scott dah terkeluar. Alex tu nangis sampai hidung merah.

The top 24 American Idol has been announced and since then 8 had been sent home. To my dismay, the first 2 weeks saw all of my favorites gulung tikar. Gasp! Ashley Rodriguez whom I thot had everything to become the next Alicia Keys and fellow Hispanic Joe Munoz who sang You and I Both was booted out. Where's the Chicanos Vote? And worst of all.... Tyler Grady also did not made the cut. His rendition of the Marvin Gaye's Let's Get It On.... adooiii cair. But then I suppose he blew it all away with American Woman. He's no Lenny Kravitz, for sure. Sighhhhhh. And last week, Hailey - the 16 year African Amercian, who would like to sing country was also kicked out. Hahahha I thot she's fuuny and weird, but in a good way.

...and then, there's Lily Scott. I thot her version of Change is Gonna Come is superb. She's really crazy, funky whatever you will and can come up with anything.

And as I mentioned before I lobes Alex Lambert. Can he be anymore shy? Kesian. But he has great tone. And he got my vote when he choose John Legend - Everybody Knows. Great song, great performance. And of course Trouble by Ray Lamontagne (though he can't really carry it I must say... should done better maybe with a number from Maroon 5)

I suppose Crystal Bowersox is in it for the win and yes, I think she is cool and has great talent... tapi lately ni she looks very sickly. Too sickly in fact. Or is it this is just the producer's ploy saje make up dia pucat-pucat, to make the show more interesting? I just hope she doesn't dropped dead in the middle of the season and let Tim Urban win. Gasp lagi!

So who else? Now that my favorites are no longer in the competition, who shall I root for? I'm pleasantly surprised that this guy gets better every week.

This guy got my vote just by wearing this cool t-shirt. And when he opens his mouth, I'm blown, blown, blown away! He's indeed my weapon of choice :) I hope he will sing Kings of Leon - Use Somebody one of these weeks.

Oh well, here's to Alex... may he will be a star one day...cause everybody knows that nobody really knows...

Everybody Knows - John Legend

It gets harder every day, but I can’t seem to shake the pain
I’m trying to find the words to say, please stay
It’s written all over my face, I can’t
Function the same when you’re not here
I’m calling your name but no one’s there
And I hope one day you’ll see nobody has it easy,
I still can’t believe you found somebody new
But I wish you the best, I guess.
‘Cause everybody knows, that nobody really knows
How to make it work, or how to ease the hurt
We’ve heard it all before, that everybody knows
Just how to make it right, I wish we gave it one more try
One more try
One more try
'Cause everybody knows, but nobody really knows

I don’t care what the people say
They brought it all in anyway
Baby don’t fill up your head with he-said, she-said
It seems like you just don’t know
The radio’s on, you're tuning me out,
I’m trying to speak, you’re turning me down

And I hope one day you’ll see nobody has it easy,
I still can’t believe you found somebody new
But I wish you the best, I guess.
‘Cause everybody knows, that nobody really knows
How to make it work, or how to ease the hurt
We’ve heard it all before, that everybody knows
Just how to make it right, I wish we gave it one more try
One more try
One more try
One more try
‘Cause everybody knows, but nobody really knows

Oh I wish you’d understand
Oh, just an ordinary man
Wish that we had known
Everybody knows, but nobody really knows
And I know one day you’ll see, nobody has it easy
I still can’t believe you found somebody new
I wish you the best, I guess.

‘Cause everybody knows, that nobody really knows
How to make it work, or how to ease the hurt
We’ve heard it all before, that everybody knows
Just how to make it right, I wish we gave it one more try
One more try
One more try
One more try
‘Cause everybody knows, but nobody really knows

Flashback of a Fool

One fine day, while channel surfing I stumbled upon this movie. I thot, the movie is pretty lame since it has James Bond in it. But with nothing better on, I just continued watching, mindlessly. Halfway thru, I was riveted. Damn! Best siut cerita ni. How come I never heard of it before? Was it in the cinemas back in 2008? I wonder if there was a soundtrack produced.

Read more of it here

So, why do I think it deserves a Bukak Baju Award (from me :)), and why you should watch it if you haven't:

1. Daniel Craig played Joe Scot, seems very human in this movie. No blank expression like James Bond.
2. The guy playing Joe Scot as a teenager SGT JAMBU. He's name is Harry Eden. He was Artful Dodger in Oliver Twist.
3. It has everything a British ChickLit brings - tragedy, love, betrayal, innocent teenage love, simple life...
4. There was this mind blowing scene (literally).. I mean how can one survived after what had happen.
4. After the last scene, aku nangis satu baldi! I lobes the last scene.
5. And also, because of this GREAT SONG by Bryan Ferry/ Roxy Music in this scene, which practically ties the story together:

If There's Something

(Ferry)
If there is something that I might find
Look around corners
Try to find peace of mind I say
Where would you go if you were me
Try to keep a straight course not easy
Somebody special looking at me
A certain reaction we find
What should it try to be I mean
If there are many
Meaning the same
Be specific just a game

I would do anything for you
I would climb mountains
I would swim all the oceans blue
I would walk a thousand miles
Reveal my secrets
More than enough for me to share
I would put roses round our door
Sit in the garden
Growing potatoes by the score

Shake your hair girl with your ponytail
Takes me right back (when you were young)
Throw your precious gifts into the air
Watch them fall down (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
You used to walk upon (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The hills were higher (when we were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The trees were taller (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
The grass was greener (when you were young)
Lift up your feet and put them on the ground
You used to walk upon (when you were young)
