You Can Do It!

I dedicate this song to the Australia Open 4th Round match between Li Na and Kim Clijsters. Exciting match, true fighting sprit from both ladies. Kim won even when she had to strap down her ankle. With a set down, she managed to claw her way back in the 2nd set, winning a tie breaker though she was 4 points behind. Let this be an inspiration for 2012.

Lobes you, Kim!

Keep Your Head Up - Andy Grammer

I've been waiting on the sunset

Bills on my mindset
I can get deny theyre getting high
Higher than my income
My income's breadcrumbs
I've been trying to survive

The glow that the sun gives
Right around sunset
Helps me realize
This is just a journey
Drop your worries
You are gonna turn out fine
Oh, you'll turn out fine
Fine, oh, you'll turn out fine

But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh

I know it's hard, know its hard,
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

I've got my hands in my pockets,
Kickin these rocks
Its kinda hard to watch this life go by.
I'm buyin in the skeptics,
Skeptics mess with, the confidence in my eyes

I'm seeing all the angles, starts to get tangled
I start to comprimise
My life and the purpose
Is it all worth it,
Am I gonna turn out fine?
Oh, you'll turn out fine

Fine, oh, you'll turn out fine

But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh

I know it's hard, know its hard,
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.

Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again.
Its a circle, circling,
Around again, it comes around again

Only rainbows after rain
The sun will always come again
Its a circle, circling,
Around again, it comes around,

But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh
You gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh

I know it's hard, know its hard
To remember sometimes,
But you gotta keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh

Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down, eh.
Keep your head up, oh,
And you can let your hair down

What's going on?

Entah...

I've been so out of touch with everything. The hell week is over. Hopefully next week tak seteruk this week. Yeah I know orang lain ini la minggu bersuka ria. Not for me it ain't. Enough about work.

Now catching up on the sports front.

1. Aussie Open - Yeay Kim wins again. Finally an Aussie Title for her.

Going into the match, tak tau nak sokong siapa sebab excited jugak an Asian finally gets into a Grand Slam final. Dah la Li Na ni dah kalahkan Kim the last time they met. Nail bitting moments all the way. Better luck next time Li Na. I lobes your speech :) I thot it was rather sweet in non cheesy way whatsoever.

2. Andy still not winning a Grand Slam :(.. tell me quando, quando, quando Andy ooiii.

3. Chelsea is fourth on the table - WTF? WTF? WTF? I haven't catch a single match of them yet. Punya la lost interest.

4. Namun, dalam ke'WTF'an, tiba-tiba Tico Torres moved to Chelsea :)

And, to unrest in Eygpt, I hope peace will prevail and the Malaysians over there are safe and arrives home soon.

What's Going On - Marvin Gaye

Mother, mother
There's too many of you crying
Brother, brother, brother
There's far too many of you dying
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today - Ya

Father, father
We don't need to escalate
You see, war is not the answer
For only love can conquer hate
You know we've got to find a way
To bring some lovin' here today

Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me, so you can see
Oh, what's going on
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Ah, what's going on

In the mean time
Right on, baby
Right on
Right on

Father, father, everybody thinks we're wrong
Oh, but who are they to judge us
Simply because our hair is long
Oh, you know we've got to find a way
To bring some understanding here today
Oh

Picket lines and picket signs
Don't punish me with brutality
Talk to me
So you can see
What's going on
Ya, what's going on
Tell me what's going on
I'll tell you what's going on - Uh
Right on baby
Right on baby

Kim defends her title

As much as I was looking forward to last year's US Open final repeat (between Wozniacki and Clijsters), this year's final looks promising as well. Vera Zvonareva seeded 7 defeated Wozniacki in the semis. This is her 2nd Grand Slam final this year after losing in Wimbledon to Serena Williams. What's interesting is that she even beat Clijsters at Wimbledon. Hmmm.... menakutkan ni. Tough luck to her though, as the game unfolds, her nerves never settle... and hey who can beat Kim in her power splits anyway.

6 -2, 6 -1, Kim goes home 2.2 mil richer. Hebat!

p/s: what happen to Dinara Safina?

Just whizzed by

In the excitement of spending the corporate card out in the desert, I just realized that I may have missed out a few interesting things that had happened these few months

1. Roger Federer is no longer No 1. Say whhaattt? And I just got his cap for my birthday!

2. 11 hour Wimbeldon match between Isner vs Mahut . Check out here

3. Kim beat the evil forces again at Wimbledon. Check out here

4. Chelsea won 2 of their opening matches with 6-0 thrashing! Yeay. Check out here

5. Cantik Tertarik Kau Memang da Bomb is now donning a red jersey. And he was red carded in his first match. And he missed a penalty. Arghhh...Dude, you're killing me!!!

6. Ricardo Carvalho has moved to Real. Sayy Whaaaattt?? :( Check out here

7. In F1 (which I have totally lost the plot), Mark Webber is leading the pack. Whot?

8. And... the one that I have been waiting, wishing and hoping for, finally did happen. It's just that I'm not there to enjoy it :( I suppose God has a better plan for me than the Local Boy in The Photograph :) Read more about it, here

Kim Possible defeats evil forces!

Yeay! She who should not come back to play has lost to Kim Possible. Suka. Suka. Just a question though, kenapa la takde live telecast? And more important, kenapa aku tak pergi Brisbane and watch this? That's it... next year nak kumpul duit and see if can get tickets. Wahai pokok duit berilah harapan kepadaku.

2010 will be a great season yet!

Rangkuman Sukan Minggu Ini

1. F1 Update:

I love this picture! It shows the little outfit that can. It shows that anything is possible. One day you are out of F1 with no team, one day you're the Champ. Doesn't mean that when you're down, you can't stand back up. Ross Brawn is indeniable a genius, having to put a team and a winning car despite it's new team and smaller budget compared to the big boys team. But it's still take a champ like Jenson to drive and win all those races. Kudos! (And I do hope, Jensen doesn't leave Brawn for McLaren, to join Hamilton, to make it an all British team.. bosan ah!)

This year, I found F1 boring with all the teams going out of business. And the never ending controversies which leads to Nelson Piquet Jr now racing in Indy 500 - Truck version, whatever that is like and the eijit who left Heidi Klum is now ban from F1 (padan muka kau!). Malaysia on the other hand feels that Sungai Klang, Sungai Pahang and Sungai Batang Ai is full of oil and gold, will put up a team for next season. All ex-BMW (Bas Mini Wilayah) driver should be considered as the team drivers. God help us all. Malaysia memang BOLEH :)

2. Footie Update:

Liverpool 2 - Manure 0 (Read here). Enough said. In your face! I don't care much about the game except for one thing, the loss enables the Blues to be the top of the table. YIPEEEEEEEEE. And guess who's back in the starting line up? DOUBLE YIPPPPEEEEEEEE.

heheh... no, not them... but, si Cantik Menarik Tertarik Kau Memang da Bomb is back. He almost scored a goal in the first minute as well:

3. Tennis:

I think there's some Masters tengah on going. But nothing much grab my attention except 2 things. a) She who must not be named confirmed she will be back next year starting with a tourney just before Aussie Open. BENCI. and b) regarding Wozniacki. Now that she's my 2nd favorite player, I find this news.. macam kelakar yet kesian, she's being probbed being involved in betting. I hope she gets the clear. Read here

4. Lain -lain

The Malaysian pair won in the double's men title in Denmark. Rossi is named the new World Champion, after completing race in Malaysia :)

5. Lagi lain-lain

Nothing to do with sport, just some marathon that I was in. I just spend the whole Saturday completing a marathon of season 2 of Dirty Sexy Money, only to discover the show was cancelled after the 2nd season. Ini adalah contoh perkara-perkara yang membuatkan saya hendak melantik seseorang sebagai Gabenor Pulau Kebabian terbaru. Tapi siapa? Sighhhh. So if anyone feel like to waste their life and get a mindless but entertaining fun, you may borrow the DVDs from me.

6. Any other business

Beyonce is still not coming to Malaysia. I should have been blogging about the concert, but instead I blog about this.

Drat.

Double Drat.

There must be something in the water...

.. that's causing the outburst of cotton pickers all over New York.

Exhibit 1

I suppose this is the lowest low of her being unsporting. Far worst when she accussed the French crowd of booing her against Henin. She just come undone under pressure. Tidak dapat mengawal inner chi. When she broke her racket after losing the 1st set, I knew Kim had a great chance to win. In the second set, she hit every ball as if it's a hand grenade coming her way. In the end, she was foot faulted, and was penalize a point which coincidently happened at match point. Best line ever.."I swear to God, I will take this ball and shove it down your throat.."So habis cerita. Aku ternganga. The crowd ternganga. Line judge pun nganga. Kim Clijsters pun nganga. Sama-sama nganga. I have to say that Kim was robbed of her thunder. Kesian dia. But who cares, janji menang. The match really had a bad after taste. (Watch the video of the outburst and interview here)

But I have to hand it to Serena. I watched the after match interview, she was cool as cat and answering questions with shrugs. In fact, I find it funny. Some people was saying that she's arrogant. Well, you gotta have attitude I suppose. She just doesn't give a toss. In fact she went to the VMA afterwards.
Which brings us to...
Exhibit 2

What the (capital letter , bold, font size 40) F is wrong with this guy? Again, I suppose you gotta have attitude. I think this is far crazy than exhibit 1. At least I can buy it if exhibit 1 turns meroyan due to pressure and emotions given the circumstances and pressure she was under. Yang ini, dah la bukan category kau. Orang lain yang kalah pun relax aje. He probably did what he did in 5 seconds... but the shit that he had to clean up took him days. And people are still talking about it. Is he an idiot or is he an idiot? I have to give it to Beyonce who saved the day by inviting Taylor to give her acceptance speech again. Read here

Well, like they say.. bad publicity is still publicity. But, dude...you are indeed a jackass! Read here

Just a question though, if 'Single Ladies' did not win the Best Female Video.. how come it can win the Best Video award? Duhh
And seriously.. I think this video should win best video. Hahahaha

Cari la the original skit in Youtube. I still can't stop laughing.

Game, set, match

After waiting the whole weekend for the rain to stop, finally the US Open got going again. I don't want to discuss what went on in the semis. Let's save that for another time. Let's focus on the top story of the day.
Kim Clijsters after 2 years out of the tournament, only played 3 tour, got a wild card, beat the two William sisters, beat the odds and won the US Open! When she played the semis against Serena, I can see that this is a new and improved Kim. Able to score aces, making great shots and seems composed and focused.
Come the finals, I'm confident that she could win this easy. However, 4 sets into the match, I was thinking... shit, she's gonna tanked this as she have done all these years. Serve sangkut, nak main volley tapi net shot macam taik. Lucky my neighbour tak panggil polis sebab dengar aku sumpah seranah pagi-pagi buta.
I have great respect against Wozniacki, because she seems not to be impressed nor scared of Kim's decorated experience. She even had a couple of face to face encountered at the net with Clijsters, which she won everytime. Muka selamba je.
Finally... something in Clijsters clicked and she was backed to her 'improved' self. She won the 1st set, and played the 2nd set with more composure. Finally, it's the finally set.. the final point.. she was waiting to hit the return from Wozniacki at the net... I screamed... slow slow bongokkkk.... she smashed the ball over and.. game over! She cried... akak pun rasa mcm nak cried jugak. OMGGGG!! finally she played like she owned it.
Congrats Kim Possible!
p/s: I love shift work, when I get to stay home and watch games like this at home in my baju tido :)
pp/s: tak tahan tengok anak dia ni.. cute and blur tak tau apa yang sedang berlaku

40 - L'oeuf

It is said that the term zero or love is derived from the French word "l"oeuf", the egg, which symbolizes: nothing. Hmm interesting.

The US Open is well on it's way which some big names already out. Since my fav choice in men's single (Andy Murray) sudah bungkus dihantar balik ke Scotland, I'm focusing on the ladies single title more. And boy, it's vair vair exciting (though the number one seeded juga telah dipacked macam kek and dihantar balik ke tempat asalnya).

Matches not to be missed:

Quaterfinals: Oudin, the sudden US sweetheart/Girl Wonder vs Wozniacki- former Junior Wimbeldon champion, who beat Svetlana 'The Bosan' Knuznetsova yesterday. It was a thrilling 3 set match, which Wozniacki bounce back with winning the last 2 sets with a tie-breaker. Hence the picture below:

I got in late to the office, watching this and there's no parking. Tapi it's all worth it! I haven't seen Oudin play but her route to the Quaterfinals was not easy, having to beat from Sharapova to Dementieva to Petrova. That is really something for an unseeded player! I have no idea who's playing the other quaterfinals, but I sure hope that either Oudin or Wozniacki will win the semis and be in the finals.

So should they win, who will they have to face in the finals? Here's my favourite part, either

or

My vote is for Clijsters of course! After two years of absense from the pro circuit, she made a comeback and even beat Venus Williams. She seems more agile and athletic than she was when she won the US Open back in 2005. May this year be your year, Kim Possible :)

Ohh.. also keep a watch for this dude (John Isner) in the future, whom I cheered on like hell, while he beat Andy Roddick in 5 sets with a tie breaker. Gila berdebar-debar. Kesian Roddick...

Who will be Numero Uno?

No 3 seed - Dinara Safina
or
No 2 seed Serena?

Saturday's final will be great! Both of them are playing for the championship (Australia Open 2009) as well as No 1 title. I'm rooting for the underdog, Safina!!! (walaupun Sarena's biceps are twice the size of Safina's... serious menakutkan!)

Rangkuman sukan

What's been happening in the sporting world these few weeks? Let see, what bits and pieces that I can remember.

US Open - Andy Murray beat world no 1 Nadal. Best tennis I've seen this year. Nadal macam terpaku tak boleh kejar bola. But Andy was crushed by Roger in the finals. Sad.

F1 - Kesian Hamilton was deducted point for missing a corner in Belgium. But dun really care cause it promoted Nick Heidfeld to 2nd place. And leave the driver championship open.Torro Rosso won Italian GP! Never underestimate the underdog. Then there's this rumors saying that Alonso might be joining BMW Sauber next season. Gag! Even worst, someone is suggesting that F1 cars should be using the same engine? Duh WTF? Ever heard of A1 GP?

Badminton - Roslin Hashim is back in the fray. Takdde ke org yang muda2 nak main badminton?

Footie - Chelsea is winning and Manure is NOT. Chelsea is at the top of the table. Can't wait for this Sunday Chelsea vs Manure at Arsene still dun want to list Theo Walcott as first 11 despite him scoring a hatrick for England. Have to agree with him on that, sbb nanti mesti dia besar kepala. Dan yang penting, si Cantik Tertarik Kau Memang da Bomb are scoring goals! You are numnero uno.Yipeeee

Sukses! Sukses!

Posted by Picasa

What a buzzing weekend on the TV front. There's Australian Open finals, there's Liverpool almost losing to some Parit-mana-punya team last nite, and there'll be AJL finals tonight. Yesterday Sharapova already won her 2nd Grand Slam after winning Wimbeldon some years back. Currently new kid on the block, Tsonga is in battle with 3rd seed Djokovic for the man's Australian Open title. Me always the underdog supporter is rooting for Tsonga... tapi nampak gaya mcm nak kalah je. So instead I spend some time playing around with Picasa and trying to figure out how to get the mp3 players on my blog. Oh yeahhhh Sukses! Sukses!

The pictures above are my nieces and nephews - Hanan, Meeya, Anees, Ameng Parit and Hamstead.. oh and not to forget dad who suddenly wanted to 'enter frame'. It was taken during last raya and I guess we were old bored gila. So I asked the rascals to pose for me. They were suppose to show different emotion in each frame... hahahhahahaha but in the end I guess in the end the pictures are all saying, ' This is what your kids will look like when they are sugar high'

And.. oh yeah managed to post the mp3 player. Since I'll be going to Sheila Majid concert this Friday (insya-allah.. kalau tak tergolek kat mana2... Friday is still far away), i'm playing all Sheila's song.

Tsonga is 2 sets down. Apa kejad!
